Hello Gujarati Meetup Members,

We had a successful and fun meetup last night. There were four people present. None of us was fluent with reading and writing so we decided to start with some simple writing to refresh our memories on the letters. Then we switched gears to reading a recipe in Gujarati - each of us read a paragraph. And we finished off with a marathon count to 100 in Gujarati by Madhuri!

The next meetup has been scheduled and is available for your RSVP - these meetups are always on the second Wednesday of the month.

Several people have expressed interest in meeting on the weekends. I myself am not able to do this but if anybody is interested in leading this effort, I can add you as an assistant organizer for this group. I can help you with planning and materials if you would like.

I am considering moving this group to Facebook when the six month time period is over... I love the meetup website format but would rather not pay the $144/year. Please let me know if you feel strongly one way or another about this.

Also, just wanted to let everyone know that I've added a Gujarati-English Dictionary as a file on this group. You can download and use if you would like!
