Hello Folks,

I wanted to ask for your opinions regarding the location and date/time of these meetups. Please reply to this e-mail and it will come to me - not the whole group. I would like to take a poll. Please let me know if there are locations and date/time that would make it more likely for you to attend. I will take this into account as I plan the second meetup.

The first meetup was a great experience. We had three attendees - Shawn, Bhairavi and Sonal. At the beginning of the session, we decided that we were more interested in focusing on writing skills. So we spent about 45 minutes choosing words in English to write in Gujarati. We all had folders with a list of all the vowels and consonants that we used as a reference while writing the words.

Then, we spent about 15 minutes reading a recipe from a Gujarati cookbook. We translated the meaning of words that were new for people after each sentence was read.

I wanted to encourage you to tell your friends about this group - it would be great to have more people attend!
